SAMSUNG HAS KICKSTARTED its Android 7.0 Nougat rollout for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users.

According to a report at SamMobile, those who participated in Samsung's Nougat beta through the Galaxy Beta program should see the update first. It'll weigh in at around 214MB, but will be bigger when it arrives with those who aren't running a pre-release version of Android 7.0 already when it arrives.

Those who didn't sign-up will likely see the update, which includes Google's latest Android security fix haul, over the next few weeks, although those with a SIM-free devices likely will see it sooner.

To see if it's available, head to Settings > About device > download updates manually. But let's be honest, it probably won't be.

Android 7.0 brings a number of new features to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, including a new-look user interface.

You'll also find Google's much-lauded split-screen mode, 72 new emoji, enhanced notifications and improved gaming features thanks to support for the Vulkan API.

Nougat also brings with it seamless updates and enhanced security through the use of file-based encryption, alongside a system-wide Night Mode and a Data Saver mode that restricts how much 3G or 4G data you plough through
