Just wondering if anyone will know, at the min I am on a 100mbs broadband deal but when I test it im only getting around 30mbs download, so if i was to drop my deal down to 50mbs would my download speed half or because its already under 50mbs it wouldnt be affected?

as Den1 suggests, you need to test via LAN cable as you lose speed over wifi (unless using 5Ghz N/AC connection at close range) - if your on virgin and you have a 1G/bit LAN port on your laptop/PC then you should get 95-106Mbps - if your LAN port is just 100Mbps then you should get circa 90Mbps

also tell us what your broadband connection is and what router your using
