Anyone else find the PCA forum slow ?
« on: 03 April 2015, 00:33:30 »
Advertisement
I have been a member of PCA since 2003 and have never known it this bad.

All I get is adverts opening all the time and in Firefox all I get is my screen freezing with an error message saying that I have an unresponsive plugin or Firefox is not responding.

It's the same using Internet Explorer.

Sadly I have decided not to visit anymore.

Does anyone else get dial-up speeds when visiting PC Advisor

It's practically unusable from my mobile Curly with all those video ads auto playing all the time. I very rarely visit now. It used to be a very busy forum and is where I gained most of my knowledge about computers.

Hey stop confusing me , at my age it's disturbing me  , I gogled PCA and came up with this , http://www.thepca.co.uk/ well for me cricket is like watching paint dry
on my second  search I came up with http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/

using firefox + add blocker  it opened fast  for me , , although I am not a member,
but the word expert  put me off signing up ,
indeed for me ignorance is bliss  lol:1

I used to post regularly until a few years ago and rarely visit now and, like you, I gained most of my knowledge about computers from PCA.

I agree with you that it used to be a lot busier than it is now and with all the adverts it must be counter productive as people will surely be less likely to visit decreasing website traffic and thus advertising revenue ?

I can't stand cricket so I can assure you that it isn't the first link as in my opinion watching cricket is like watching paint dry and in any case I gave a link on my original post !
