Considering ordering a mobile from Amazon France

Amazon France are selling the Nexus 6 for £420 (converted from Ä), it's £499 on the Google Play Store.

My question is, as it comes with a European adapter, what would I have to do to charge it in the UK?

I have a spare Nexus 7 charger, can I just use that instead as it uses a micro USB. Someone said, as long as the charger was over 2.1a, it would be OK, or would I have to get a "shaver" adapter and use that with the supplied charger?

I just bought a wireless charger for my son's nexus 7 his charging port was playing up so I got him the wireless charger, you just place the device on the charger and it charges it's really good.

Works for the nexus 6 aswell

Thanks KRW, looks like that's what I'd need.

I know, everyone says how big it is. I need to see it before I commit.

That's exactly my question Steve. I believe it has a micro USB port. So could I just connect the cable to the Nexus 7 charger and use that?

Will do. Thanks.

I know people say how big it is for a phone, but I hardly use my laptop now and tend to do all my browsing on my phone, so a bigger screen would be ideal.

I know having a bigger screen seems like a good idea that why why the phablet came into being.

I've gone from a 4.7 inch moto X to a 5.2 inch moto x and even now two month later I love the screen size but not the physical increase in width of 6.9mm that's nearly 5/16 inch, 9/32nd in proper money. And still struggling with that increase, and probably still having the old phone to touchy feel reminds me of that, also I found that with this cold weather the phone can be extremely cold (aluminium frame).

Unfortunately, it only seems to be for Moto phones rather than Google phones manufactured by Motorola. Thanks anyway KRW.

No, I hesitated and the price went back up. Carphone warehouse seem to be the UK best price. I'm off work this week and was thinking of going to look at one in the flesh. I know they're big, but I hardly use my laptop now and tend to do most stuff on my phone, so I think a phablet would suit me. It's a lot of money though ???

If you decide that the nexus 6 is physically too big there is the Samsung Note 4 with a 5.7 v 6" screen and 4.4mm (3mm is 1/8inch) narrow at 78.6mm

Yeah, I've seen people taking about the Note 4 as an alternative and it seems to do slightly better in reviews.

My problem is I don't like branded mobiles with their bundled apps. I had an Galaxy S2 before the Nexus 4, and you've probably read about my dislike of the HTC One. Both of them were full of apps that I would never use. Nexus devices are pure Android, no bloatware, and that's what appeals to me the most.

I'll definitely check the Note out before I decide though, thanks.

I agree I do like Motorola, suppose that's why I still have my moto x 2013 (still waiting for lollipop) I'm sure that that I'll not update straight away as the 2013 has moto designed chipset so is special and probably why it's not been updated yet. motorola have updated both the 2013 moto e and moto g as they have stock snapdragon chipsets.

Considering keeping the 2013 moto x as it may become a collector's item.
