couldnt resist

it should  literally be faster in real world than current setup - im also putting windows .1 update1 on and classic shell cos im getting too use to it at work and with UEFI boots in seconds as it hibernates the windows core

our lass eMMC 32GB / 2GB RAM / A4 Quad boots ins 7 seconds!!

some early figures...need right drivers - running 8.1 Pro x64 UEFI, boots in 3-4 seconds

some early problems with that share-x!!

1st run:

2nd run:
used Samsung Magician OS Performance Optimization, write dropped a bit

3rd run with RAPID ON using 2GB RAM

I've read about Rapid. Its actually fake scores. Its calculating scores from your ram, not the drive. Thats why I never use it on my Evo's.

i know that but you need to understand what it actually is and does - you , should use RAPID on evo's anyway as its a better form of superfetch built specifically for SSD's - the programs you use most are stored in RAM by samsung and therefore read/write faster, you understand L3 cache yes?   same sort of difference

we had L1 cache (32Kb) - then L2 cache (2Mb) and now L3 cache (8Mb)- its another level of storage - your evo already has at least 256Mb RAM in it as storage (turbowrite) - which slows down when reaches that level as it has to write to the ssd, so it writes to that first then the SSD when idle - now with RAPID if you have 4Gb+ you can use as another level -  no brainer , thats why they built it

RAPID-> (Idle) Turbowrite cache-> (idle) SSD

when your write test says 490MB/s thats not the SSD, its actually the turbowrite cache

in fact with RAPID i wont be surprised if "when idle" it just writes direct to the SSD
