help

I want to install Windows 8.1 64-Bit

thing is I have 2 x SSD in RAID which means the Samsung Magician doesnt recognize the drive so I cant secure erase it (restores it back to factory etc)

now the only the choice i have is to disable RAID and load win7 on one drive, use the samsung software to secure erase it, then do the same again with the other drive!!
then RAID them back back together and install 8.1

any ideas for quicker easier ways, ive read of this:
http://www.cnet.com/uk/how-to/how-to-securely-erase-an-ssd-drive/

but i don't like the sound of it - -read comments

Don't no if this is or any help http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/securely-erase-ssd-without-destroying/

Thanks Den, $5 plus ive read all secure erase software invokes the internal SecEra so u cant go wrong

Samsung have advise installing windows on one which will allow you to create the memory stick and thus do both then RAID them together - i might do it over xrimo, i have a spare laptop to do it on

I alo recall something about having to pull the power out after erasing it then putting it back in to get it to work,,,,i want to find out what that was before i do it

cheers
