Indeed . although my big day is almost over ( solstice )
( no it didn't included dancing around a Rowan tree naked , the neighbours wife said it was too cold  :o )
Anyway, Live long and prosper ,  at least I seem to have got the first bit right  ::)

BTW, can anyone do the Vulcan salute ? dammed if my ring finger will follow the small one ,
does this mean I could claim a disability allowance ,?

Have a great time guys , I have just done with tracking Norads Santa,
next up is midnight eucarist with carols , ( just escorting a born again female) .
as the token tame pagan ,  cant believe they go nuts for a crisp and a sip of wine
but each to their own  , but it does get a bit lonely sitting alone in the pews ,
but I enjoy the singing ,
been thinking of a Christmas’y  link , but best I could find was  vague link “All gods creatures have a place in the Choir “
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqm-S9J1s_k

BTW Snadge , whats with Curry’s/PC world  ,  I ordered a Xbox 1 got conformation of delivery to my Local store estimated 30 Dec , (  fair enough as I ordered it late , ) got email at 4 pm today
Saying “it’s arrived “  great news but only an hour to collect before the store closed
Try travelling  across  London  Christmas eve !!”! yeah I made it , Just

Hey just venting my frustration  being stuck in a 10 mile queue  :o
but hell, my grandsons will have a Christmas after all ,  and they will have to listen  to me going on  about at their age I was grateful for a jigsaw and an Orange   lol:1

@ Roco - exactly that, traffic...the KnowHow lorry would have also been stuck in the same traffic

should of ordered it sooner lol

i had a really bad day on Tuesday, started 10am and had 3 phone calls in a row blasting me down the phone, i was ready for chucking the phone and leaving! - thats how bad it was... then a cmr wanted a laptop booked in for repair under guarantee, but didn't know her sons address or post code or which name he used and was humming & harring and losing her temper at me cos it was taking ages, i felt like telling her to take it too another store.

the 1st phone call was someone saying he was told by a sales colleague that he could get £200 cash back on a Lenovo laptop and couldn't find out how to do it...but was speaking derogatory to me like it was my fault, after 30 mins of checking with colleagues it was utter crap and had he'd mis-heard him (which happens a lot with elderly - no offence, well you did order an iPad for collection the day before Xmas lol), anyway it was claiming cashback on VAT after within 30 days and he let that time run out!!

the rest were just angry nasty bar stewards and I told everyone I'm not answering the phone no more today... I mean I have to, so in doing so is refusing to do my job, but thats how bad it was

Snadge ,
we opened the Xbox1 box,  1 of 2 boxes  it was fine
the second box should have contained the second controller, instead it was a Asus
dual band pci-e adapter  :o

but you are right "should have ordered earlier "

BTW drove across London Playing Santa at 8 am this morning ,  bliss traffic free roads
Maybe drone delivery will take off ?

you should have asked if they knew who they were talking to?if they said no you should have replied "well piss off then!" and hung up!

they did but he was off - this is the thing with low hour contracts - NO CONTINUITY!!

im actually applying for other jobs... its not the job...its the management, stuffing up wages then going down your throat when your not doing well on targets - attitude problems and like i say cos thers a million staff theres no continuity with customers who callback... the whole wage thing has me pissed off - 26 hours im owed and thats JUST ME!! everyone who started since November last year is in the same predicament - being given 1 hour dinner for 8+ hour shifts, when we take only 30 mins so lose 30 mins per 8+hour shift

if mines 26hours in 7 months cos i work low hours - imagine those who work slightly more, and the total - they be getting loads of free work!

ive pulled them a million times and still doesnt get sorted

if my pay is wrong on 31st theni want my 26 hours - i have all the rotas with the incorrect totals on (that where being paid off)

Oh Dear Snadge
Good luck mate ,

Just posted my Saga/Rant about currys/pc world ,
indeed the company has a top end problem , seems to me the staff are very restricted in decision making  which undermines their confidence ,
I shall be writing to head office ( wherever that is ) but not going to be pointing the finger at anyone ,  just the system the company runs ,

you are 100% correct

I also dont like being targetted when you can only sell so many careplans, instant replacements, anti-virus, cloud, 24-7, mobile broadband - the sale guys get it in the neck, you cant cram a careplan down everyones throat

perhaps its time there was a governing body who regulated the selling of these care plans etc, look what happened with the banks and PPI selling, may be somewhere down the line somebody in authority or the courts decide all these care plans were miss sold and the companies pushing them may be open to compensation claims

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I must have been a bad boy this year. My work decided to put me to Korea instead of let me have my holidays as planned.

I'm actually in the oil industry and not the forces. Much respect for them!
It isn't so bad here. Friendly enough people. Certainly better than Nigeria where I spent the previous couple.
