This sounds ridiculous but I just want to download Chrome to a USB stick to install on a mate's laptop, but all the links I try take me to Google's download page that wants to install it on my PC? Even Google's "alternate" install does this? Any ideas anyone?

She contacted me saying she thought she'd somehow deleted IE as she "can't get the internet to come up". She's not very tech savvy and I said I would go and look at it, but thought I'd just put Chrome on a memory stick in case she had screwed up her browser. Easier said than done!

Like all other links I've tried, it just attempts to install it on the machine you're on. There's no option to download it for later use? It looks like a few people have had the same problem from the searches I was doing.

Edit: Ignore me. I just continued even thought it comes up with a t&c screen and accept and install but then I got the option to save the exe to any location. All sorted, I was just being a numpty.
