Queued for sending message keeps coming up all the time

I am with EE and this problem has gradually got worse but I don't know why.

What happens is that almost every time I go to send a text message there is a delay of several minutes and I get a message "Queued for sending"

Could it be because EE's network is getting clogged up ?

it's not a setting on your phone is it?some email clients have the option not to send immediately, might be same with your phone and texts?(just an idea?)

Have your recently updated your phones software? Only asking as my other half had loads of problems after an update. Texts wouldn't send or they were delayed.

I'm on EE and not having any problems.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

I am not sure about e-mail client as I am not using G-mail but the messaging service that came with my mobile if that makes a difference ?

Yes I have recently updated my Sony Experia software and, to think of it, now this problem comes up but it never used to.

I updated the software a few days ago and the problem has gradually got worse.

Sounds like that's the culprit then. In our case it was a bad update for a HTC ONE. It was worse though in that texts just wouldn't send. We tried all sorts of workarounds, toggling airplane mode, changing APN, changing the service centre number, but HTC eventually pushed a further update that seems to have fixed it.

Check the EE community forums for anyone else with the same problem with your handset. There was a great long thread about the HTC problem. Sorry to say it took weeks to resolve for us, EE were useless..

That's strange as today there was an Experia software update (only 99 MB) but this has cured the problem now (touchwood)  :)

That's good news. Sony seem to be more on the ball than HTC/EE then Curly.
