indeed what a week!  ,I am still working on the Bungalow ,
( just one room left  of 7 to complete ,)
this week was devoted to Plumbing , ( not my favourite task ) + the central heating ,
it has a 4 year old Bosch combi boiler , but retained the loft storage tank ,
totally unnecessary ,now removed along with the associated pipe work ,

so I now have a shower , new taps etc. (and no leaks ) decided after a long day
to celebrate my achievement with a few to many well earned scotches  lol:1,
come midnight  I thought  have I locked the car on the drive ,
so I staggered out to check, I was wearing T shirt and jeans , it was 0 C outside,
I locked my self out  >:D .of my now fully secure house/fortress ,and by 1AM had
to break  a double glazed window to get back in , the sight of  a running computer and temperatures of 20.c became irresistible , but it made me think of http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=bbc+stupid+deaths&qpvt=bbc++stupid+deathes&FORM=VDRE#view=detail&mid=2F04BB00D1A8108FD8362F04BB00D1A8108FD836

lol:1 , snr  did sort of come into the saga , "Signal"= me freezing my nuts off,
"Noise" = my chattering teeth + the BANG as I threw a brick threw the window ,
BTW  it took 2 attempts  :o
"Ratio" =just got the estimate to repair ,50 at mates rates , but I did learn how to pop out a D/Glazed window without damage or noise ,
that might come in useful if I decided to start a new career  ;)   >:D

Yeah , but down here in Surrey ? , he didn't charge call out, ( normally 100 for tradesmen )
and fitted temp shuttering ply , and will have done  50 + miles time the job is completed ,
anyway it has taught me a lesson not to forget my keys  :-[ ,
btw the cost includes the d/glazing glass ,

Window done it came to  45 ,  + a cup of tea and bickies ,  he tells me business is a bit slow ,
although I guess he is coming up retirement age ,  don't see he made much profit ,
about 1 hour on site ( 2visits +50 miles or more in his van ,) but he is a mate of a mate ,
jeez i had a quote from a local plumber to change the bath room taps (me to supply the taps) =240 , I did it myself , for the 50p roll of PTFE tape  ;)
TWTW that was ?, just got the paint rollers earning their keep ,and my daughter phones , help dad , I am stuck in a queue of traffic and the car is "Chugging " and the engine sounds different , (I love the girlie descriptions  :D, )    OK ,are any of the dash board lights on and what's the temp gauge reading , no lights on
is the temperature gauge  the one above the one that tells me how much petrol I don't have , "yes" , is says normal ,
15 miles and 1 hour later having driven across London in it's  Christmas madness and school mums runs ( why do they need  a Porche Kayenne 4x4 to pick up one child  in London ? the only off road challenge it faces is pavement parking outside Majestic wine store in Chelsea :D )

mate what's with the " I guess t hat's why he is in business and I'm not " ???
Have every respect for the self employed , been there etc.

think we are going the same route, my final working years was as a maintenance  electrician for a very rich charity , the pay was less than  dustcart workers, while the "F"wit boss
pocketed more than the prime minister ,

BTW my next house move will be to the Hampshire/Dorset coast , a sea /harbour balcony view
will do for me  Tommie ,
