SNR and storms…

Had a huge crack of thunder and lightning about 35 minutes ago. What causes the connection to drop and drop so far. Also why is the SNR fluctuating between 7 and 14 now?

Normally if the syncrate is low the SNR stays high.

Plus, apparently the next door neighbour completely lost her phone line. Phoned me via mobile. No electrical hits. What a crack/flash it was.

Looks like I was wrong. There was electrical hits. At least 4 houses has no working phone lines so far.

My connection did temporarily drop for a few minutes that day.
