the most used end of cycle words ,
but in my case TV licensing again , as you may remember I don't have a TV , havent for the past 21 years , and no I don't watch live TV , as I have been battling TV licensing for all those years , I guess if caught doing so I would be hung drawn and quartered to set an example to others   :o
I have moved house , they are on my back again , 3 week's back  I had one of their enforcers  ( their term ) inspect this house , a very pleasant guy , he said OK we won't bother you again for a year or 2 ,
yesterday I got a letter from TV lic. they are taking me to court for non payment
of the licence fee ,   :D ,  what can I say but bring it on  ,
I have been advised it's a clear case of harassment that has been going on for 20+ years , this is going to be fun and possibly  + in my pocket

I have indeed Snadge ,  to be honest is more fun than watching TV at a friends ,as I have been told TV is crap these days , ( well I have been told that for the past 20 years )
the last program I followed was Magic roundabout . still wonder if Zebdy ever got Florence into bed , as end of every program  he said it's time for bed  ,
Mind you Seaman  Staines and Master Bates used to make me smile  >:D
although Muffin the Mule was good, although I must admit I have never tried it .   ;)

compensation culture strikes again,my wife was involved in a no -fault crash with a drunk driver while pregnant with our youngest, when a friend at work found out  his 1st words were"you can get loads for that with her being pregnant" not "how is she?" ever since then I have hated the fact that all folk seem to think about is compensation rather than what is the actual problem caused by something,I don't think it is harassment expecting a property to have a tv licence, the dept involved is just doing what could be called their job, after all how many folk say they don't have a tv but actually do and hide it if investigated, after all with all the Govt cuts I doubt the info of no tv hasn't been entered on the system yet

:D any compensation win will be spent on the biggest tv and licence , just because it would amuse me , ( I have a odd sense of humour ) ,
@ Steve ,  records may not have caught up , WTF after 21 years ? .maybe tv licensing are still on Win 3.1  :D ,
anyway if found guilty I could face 1 year at her queens pleasure  (community tax free )  but pleasuring  a 80 year old bothers me a bit ,surely she has Knights of the bed chamber for that ,

The TV licences enforcer ( I love that title ) took careful note of my previous address  and and previous  non compliance ,   I can except  a delay of several months,
I just laugh at their description of "non Compliance "  ,   and at their flustered letter
advising me of my soon to be local court appearance  , as I said bring it on  ,
I have had my house turned over 7 times in the past 21 years ,all with my blessing and assistance , can't see how I could have been more helpful , chr*st I even offer a cup of tea  and sandwich to the guys , even held the loft  ladder for one enforcer ,
maybe the answer is to increase taxation to include  the licence fee ,
maybe  set base income tax to 22% for everybody, employed ,that way the truly poor get free TV ,
" The licence fee is classified as a tax,[9] and evasion is a criminal offence. Since 1991, collection and enforcement of the licence fee is the responsibility of the BBC in its role as TV Licensing Authority.[10] The BBC pursues its licence fee collection and enforcement under the trading name "TV Licensing", but contracts much of the task to commercial organisations.[10][11] A major contractor is Capita[12] which specialises in outsourcing for government projects. It is expected that Capita will earn 1.10bn ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_licensing_in_the_United_Kingdom
