This was true even back in the 2000s when I was in college. Most women weren't interested in technology, except accounting and less nerdy things. Though, it's a little different today when you see so many Women with smartphones.

That and most women are on mumsnet. This is a forum with nerdy topics. :D

Which is nice but I've found very little women on most forums. I'd love to see more women in places but they seem to be such a small percentage. I have had conversations with some but it's so few. Even on racing/car forums.

All you get on most is most men acting like utter dicks on most forums. So many are very adolescent. OcUK is one of the worst. When some have been on and seen their photos/video reviews, even one that does reviews for computer hardware. All you get from most of the members is "she's fit" "I'd hit that" and as you can imagine how worse it becomes.

It be refreshing to hear from women on forums without so many men acting like utter assholes towards them.

I still rely on my little black book and a bargain meal at a Harvester pub chain  ;)
but I hear Mumset has a few female members ,
coming from a big USA forum 80K + members  it never had more than a dozen female members , I still smile about every time a female "sounding " new member joined up how she got hit on ,
most turned out "reading between the lines " tranies  ,Oc forum is full of males claiming mine is bigger or faster than yours  ,
Tech forums are like the pub bar , full of hopeful wise guys  , that measure a females worth by the size of her puppies ,
