Why not, at least he can boot it any time  >:D

BTW I am back , after 34 days with no phone or internet ,
Result  = BT 1 - Plusnet 0 , both ISP's  made a total C*ck of it ,
BT was marginally better , it only took them 10 days ,
and much to my surprise FTTC was available , although BT's checker said next year ,  :o

sorry for the late reply  ,indeed I am up to my neck in Merde .
it took 2 days just to clear the ivy and brambles to get accesses to the back
door, surprisingly  the bungalow  internally is in good condition after being empty for 1.1/2 years , at least C/H  combi works OK .
Speed on BT fibre ? ,according to 2 tests from speedtest .net
and on BT infinity FTTC 40X10 I am getting a rock solid 38.7 X9.25 and ping of 20 M/s , using TP link cheapo ring main adapters, with a curious BT ? phone line wiring ,just a flat twin  from a junction box up in the facia ,
Hey, to cap it all my treasured 4 core 3.4 ghz computer failed to boot up  after the house move.. so I am now on my back up  a 7 year old donated Dell  2 core
slow it is , but at the moment it just works , :D
indeed 32 days without phone , internet or TV is painful,

I was without phone and internet for 2 days and that was enough.

Fortunately I had the TV though !

It wasn't my ISP's fault (Sky), it was down to BT Openreach mistakingly disconnecting my telephone line whilst connecting someone else up to FTTC !

makes life difficult ,
had to laugh my first postal letter at my near derelict new home ,wasn't a cheery welcome  card , but another threatening letter from TV licensing  :D
it gave me warn glow to think somebody cares , >:D

I know mate  ;)

Sky as usual sorted things out quickly and so I wasn't without my phone line for too long.
