Wooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Well as some of you know (and probably very bored of hearing it) its been nearly a year to persuade my fiance for me to get fibre (its been a hard slog) lol:1 but today is the day i have just ordered fibre 76mb with plusnet.

Its quite sad to leave sky who have been brilliant for me and to also leave a adsl service i have quite enjoyed trying to get the best speed that i can (but ill get over it hehe)

Im confident ill get full speed because im a stones throw away from the green cabinet just over the road so we shall see

im going to be saving roughly 240 in the first year with leaving bt for phone and having the half price broadband for 6 months and paying 12 months line rental upfront.

And thats not including the 90 i get back with quidco

After the first year i will be saving around 190 once the offer has ended

So all good woooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

just waiting for mac code from sky and all they offered me was 6 months at 2.50 a month line rental wouldnt even offer free installation of fibre which plusnet do

And snadge keep looking at routers cause i wanna get ready incase i need a new one

happy for you mate... hope it goes smoothly :)

do you need a MAC code?

I will keep looking for routers for you mate... trying to find out just how usefull 40Mhz mode is compared to 20Mhz cos I refuse to believe it makes little difference..

i think too be sure your best getting a dual-band router (which should have 40Mhz anyway) so you can try 40Mhz and if no good then utilize dual-band...need too find out if you can use a 600N+ mode whilst 150N devices can still connected (mixed mode)

I would be jealous... but 16Mbps is enough for me.. I can get my movies in 7-15 minutes dependant on quality... other than that I dont really need it...

....I'm lying....  waaaaaaaaa... when is FTTC coming here!!!!...

Tom if i buy a 200 mile long Ethernet cable can I hook into your router? - we can spend nights digging up along the A1 putting it into the ground... HE HE HE

be good if you could do that :)

as Plusnet has no LLu the phone will be WLR3 provisioned which means a seamless transition of both.... jammy sod!

well, it should be anyway, you can switch either phone or broadband over regardless of what service you have already..

that is to say

A) they can both be switched on the same day
B) your phone can be switched to plusnet and still receive sky broadband until its switched later.
C) your broadband can be switched to plusnet whilst still have BT as phone until its switched later.
