LG Have created a 55 inch TV that is so thin (less than 1mm) you can roll it up. It weighs a little over a KG, so the same as a bag of sugar and can be placed on a wall using magnets.

It's been dubbed the 'wallpaper' TV and is the company's answer to cumbersome wall-mounted brackets that are a pain in the arse and look dead ugly.

It was unveiled at a press event in Korea on Tuesday. So while right now it is a merely a prototype they are hoping the technology will catch on quick, as are we.

OLED represents a groundbreaking technology' not only for the company, but also for the industry.
Sang-Deog Yeo, the head of LG's OLED TV business unit.
In the future the company plan to develop similar sets that with screen sizes as large as 99 inches.
Ching W. Tang, a professor at the University of Rochester in New York and 'the father of OLED' according to CNET thinks the technology will be the norm in five to 10 years. He also suggested that these OLED TVs will eventually be more popular than traditional LCD TV sets.

The problem is that right now an OLED TV costs around five times more expensive than an LCD TV so until LG finds a way to keep their production prices down this could just be a paper-thin pp dream.
