The weather or wtf (what a nice surprise)
« on: 05 January 2018, 16:34:20 »
The snow we had before christmas was lovely, I liked it but we don't suffer so bad where I am in the midlands with reguards grit on the roads. The honda accord handles the snow better other cars, me thinks.
Today it was 2c overcast and raining. I'm happy because I put that metal garden shed up a few weeks back, before these winds hit. Current temp TBCTB (to blooody cold to bother).

Have you switched on the heating before taking a temp reading?  :)

Morning all. :)
We have had some patchy fog over night here in the midlands, which now developed into a nice pea soup outside. Chances of seing the sun today are next to nill but the current temp of 5.6c is warmer than last week and warmer than yeasterday :)

Weather UK ,  always a pub topic , and the start of polite conversations ,
Itís either too hot cold or wet & windy , but the UK is blessed with a temperate ,
climate we rarely get extremes  although the news papers give out dire warnings of Hurricanes   6ft of snow, flooding  weather bombs , which end up a a normal winters day ,
Having in the past a interest in weather forecasting ( sailing & gliding )
indeed forecasting the UK weather is difficult being we face 3000 miles of Atlantic ocean , and our prevailing winds are S.W , but that vast sea works to our advantage , rain, trees  and green pastures for example ,  the downside 6 inches of snow disables our rail and road transport for a week or so ,  I do have a Texas inst.weather station , it gives wind direction and wind speed , I combine it with internet streaming live cams  across the UK, ,

also found  www.wunderground.com/weather/gb/oatlands-park/IWEYBRID3 , my local weather report , it updates every minute or so ,  just need to enter your post code for your area , the 10 day chart I find useful ,

Thankyou Roco. thankyou:1
When I was viewing the Dublin cam, 4 nice young ladys were waving at the cam, I assume there is a sign posted about the cam there.  ;)

The temple bar pub Dublin , close to the UNi, is a tourist hot spot , the pub is open to 2 .30 am every day ! ,  never seen any problem there , maybe some good humoured Irish line dancing in the street at closing time ,  but they do have a bouncer a big guy with armband standing outside ,
my daughter now moving  to Weymouth , phones me to say I am waving outside the beach ice cream parlour/tea room , http://www.bayview-weymouth.co.uk/weymouth-webcam/ ,  the scaffold pole is temp. the hotel is being redecorated during the winter , seriously thinking of drifting to the same area ,blue sky's a beach and harbour +  street cafe latte , is becoming very appealing this Winter ,

I think it's nice your daugher waves to her old man, very cool. 8-)

Morning all.
Out come the wind and dried up all the rain ;)
It's very windy this morning here in the midlands, current temp 2.8c (In Dublin Ireland it's 2.7c)
Please be careful today, because of down trees etc... thankyou:1
