What did you use before search providers(Google)
« on: 03 February 2018, 21:26:32 »
I can't remember, is that bad.
Google has just always been there.... Imagine all search providers went down, at once. Would anyone remember/know how to use the address bar? :D :)
Do many people really know the difference between them?

I used to go to a library and search through books for info, it was like pulling teeth tho and I usually drew a blank, especially on anything up to date.

The library, I still use that from time to time. :) ;) Although some info is out of date you can still verifiy and confirm most of what's written to be true if that be the case. Not sure about online info sometimes, it can be edit/change/delete easier than a book after release?

I was late web starter, 2002 ishI used it for the first time, 2004 we got our first connection with 2Mb AOL (Upraded to 4Mb when ADSL2+ came about - from distance i now know should have been 8Mb dead on) - I cant recall but sure i was straight on the boat with Google as I found their results to be much better than Yahoo & Microsoft & AOL
PlusNet VDSL Fibre 40/10
BT HomeHub 5B (Broadcom 63168) <---> ECI Dslam (Lantiq M41a)
